Font licensing, made straightforward
Quainton Type font licences are worldwide, perpetual and paid for with a one-time fee. The licence does not expire, and it can be upgraded if your organisation grows or your requirements change.
Choose who the fonts are for, the size of the final licence holder and how the fonts will be used. Your price will be calculated from these selections.
Where you buy matters
Direct purchases are governed by the Quainton Type Commercial EULA and the applicable Licence Schedule. The Licence Schedule records the licensed typeface, styles, Licence Holder, Company Size, permitted channels and applicable limits. Your Order Confirmation, Invoice or Purchase Receipt records the order and payment details.
For purchases through an authorised third-party marketplace, that marketplace's standard commercial terms take priority only where they directly conflict with the Quainton Type End User Licence Agreement. For questions about a marketplace purchase, please contact the marketplace directly.
Who are the fonts for?
Every licence belongs to one named person, business or organisation.
At checkout, we record both the purchaser and the final licence holder. If you are buying for yourself, these may be the same. If you are an agency or designer buying for a client, the client must be named as the final licence holder.
My organisation
Choose this when the fonts will be used for your own work, business, organisation or self-initiated projects.
A client
Choose this when the fonts are being used for a client project. The client becomes the named Licence Holder, even when a designer or agency purchases the licence on their behalf.
The designer or agency may use the fonts solely to create work for that client. The fonts cannot be reused for another client unless that client obtains their own licence.
Company size
Licence prices are based on the total number of people working for the final licence holder, not simply the number of designers installing the fonts.
Company Size includes all worldwide owners, partners, directors, employees and regular long-term contractors, whether full-time or part-time, across any parent company, subsidiary or corporate affiliate.
If the Licence Holder grows beyond its licensed Company Size tier, request an upgrade. Quainton Type will confirm the required upgrade and price before payment is taken.
Choose how the fonts will be used
- Print, branding, static graphics, film and motion: Desktop
- Live text on a website: Web
- Fonts embedded in software, an application or a game: App
Your Licence Schedule records the selected typeface, styles, Company Size tier, permitted channels and any Domain or App limits. These details form part of the licence.
